RM Biomimetic high-density self-healing anti-permeability mortar active masterbatch is a compound and high-performance mortar additive newly developed by biomimetic technology. It takes supersilicate as the main raw material and draws inspiration from natural biological self-healing. It has the effect of crystallization densification and re-repair, and then compounding polyphase expansion components and flocculation water retention components. At the same time, the nano-scale active dispersion factor can effectively improve the working performance of the newly mixed mortar and the mechanical properties and deformation properties of the hardened mortar, effectively avoid the dry shrinkage cracks of the mortar, greatly improve the impermeability, self-healing performance and durability of the mortar, and finally realize the self-waterproofing of the "body type" structure.

 

Mechanism of action

RM bionic high-density self-healing anti-seepage mortar active masterbatch has three-in-one effects:

Effect 1: Proliferate crystals, fill gaps and heal themselves.

The supersilicate in the component can react chemically with calcium hydroxide, the hydration product of cement, under the action of a catalyst to generate stable calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) crystals to block the pores and microcracks of the mortar, thereby enhancing the water tightness of the mortar and improving the anti-seepage effect of the mortar. In addition, if secondary cracks appear in the hardened mortar, the supersilicate in the mortar can re-crystallize under the activation of active substances until the cracks are repaired.

Effect 2: Multi-phase expansion, compensation for contraction.

The components contain a variety of high-efficiency expansion components. After being added to the mortar, they form a variety of expansion phases such as hydrated calcium sulfoaluminate (ettringite), brucite and calcium hydroxide through liquid phase dissolution, diffusion and crystallization. This effectively avoids the defect that using a single expansion source can only compensate for early shrinkage, but is difficult to compensate for the temperature shrinkage and drying shrinkage of concrete in the later stage.

Effect three: flocculation, water retention, toughening and crack resistance.

The component contains high-efficiency water-soluble biomass flocculant, which has the functions of flocculation, water retention, thickening, adhesion, and lubrication. It can improve the interaction between mortar particles and reduce water bleeding, thus increasing the strength and toughness of the mortar and significantly improving the resistance. cracking performance.

5. Low requirements on the base surface, can be dry or wet, flat or rough, and can be constructed on both the water-facing and water-back sides;

7. Good anti-seepage performance, can withstand water pressure above 2.0MPa;
8. The cracks are self-repairing and the waterproof function is effective for a long time.

 

Scope of application

1. Industrial and civil construction projects: mainly used in new construction projects and urban renewal projects in various locations with waterproof and anti-seepage requirements, such as roofs, exterior walls, kitchens and bathrooms, basements, pools, swimming pools, etc. It can be used on the water-facing surface and can also be used for negative water pressure waterproofing in repair projects;

2. Municipal engineering: such as pipe gallery, subway, tunnel, underground air defense, water purification plant, sewage treatment plant, etc.; 

3. Water conservancy and transportation projects: such as water conservancy hubs, power plants, water diversion tunnels, railway tunnels, etc.

 

 

Construction technology

1. The masterbatch must be used as soon as possible after opening. It cannot be used again if it forms lumps after being damp.

2. When mixing the self-healing mortar, the sand, cement, water and active masterbatch should be accurately measured, the order of adding materials should be reasonable, and the mixing time should be controlled to achieve uniform mixing and meet workability;

3. To ensure that the masterbatch is mixed evenly, first take a small amount of water to dissolve the masterbatch, stir evenly, and then use the diluent to mix the mortar dry powder;

4. Before the construction of self-healing mortar, a special interface binder can be sprayed to ensure the bonding strength between the mortar and the base layer and prevent hollowing;

5. If the mortar is thick, it should be applied in two layers. The two layers should be tightly bonded and constructed continuously to avoid cold joints.

6. After the self-healing mortar has finally set, it should be promptly moisturized and cured for no less than 7 days. SK-2 nano-silicon ion permeability modifier can also be used for enhanced curing. For details, please consult the manufacturer.

 

Storage method and shelf life

The storage environment should be dry, cool, well-ventilated, away from heat and fire sources. The package must be kept well sealed and handled with care.

The shelf life is 24 months.
